Financial Aid

✱  ✱  ✱

UPDATE Winter 2023: Students who register via the FlexGE program can now be eligible for FAFSA-based financial aid via a collaboration with Ensign College. More information is available on FlexGE's website.

Visiting Students are not eligible for federal financial aid or scholarships. BYU Continuing Education does provide limited financial assistance to Visiting Students based on need. You can learn more about the types of aid available and apply for assistance through the BYU FlexGE® scholarship application.

BYU FlexGE® Scholarship Application

(Continuing Education uses the FlexGE® application as the central application for aid, including students who do not meet the FlexGE® criteria.)

Visiting students can also get help from BYU through a short-term loan. This loan can help students to pay tuition by the final deadline.

Visiting Students are not eligible for Federal financial aid because they are not in a degree-seeking program (the type of aid awarded via the FAFSA).

BYU Independent Study Financial Aid and Scholarships

If you are a Visiting Student taking Independent Study courses, there are opportunities for you to receive financial help directly from Independent Study. You can learn more on the BYU Independent Study’s Scholarships and Financial Aid page.
